Can Niacinamide remove black heads?

As a stand-alone product it is not specific for black heads. Your skin will also need to be regularly exfoliated. Use ingredients such as salicylic acid. However, this product controls some of the causes of blackheads. This includes, balanced oil production, reducing redness and minimizing the appearance of pores. Therefore long-term, this product will reduce the appearance of blackheads.

Are there any ingredients which should not be mixed with The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% Zinc 1%?

Yes, vitamin C products should not be used at the same time as Niacinamide. Although they are both antioxidants, when used together the effect of the Niacinamide is very much reduced. If you plan on using both, you should wait at least 10 minutes before adding your vitamin c.

When should I stop using  The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% Zinc 1%?

• If after three months of use you are not seeing desired results
• If you have an allergy to Niacinamide – burning, redness or itching

Which is better? Niacinamide or salicylic acid?
